Who they are:
The Petroleum & Convenience Marketers of Alabama is a nonprofit trade association serving over 350 petroleum marketers and convenience store operators across the state of Alabama. The association has member companies owning, operating and/or supplying more than 4,000 convenience stores in Alabama.
What they needed:
When PCMA came to Solamar, their existing site was really ancient and outdated, and didn’t look good on modern web-enabled devices. In addition, they needed a better way to inform visitors of their latest news, and a better way to get more people to join the organization.
How we helped:
We began by designing a new site from the ground up, built on the user-friendly WordPress platform. We focused on using friendly, approachable typography with with their blue/yellow color scheme.
We designed the home page of the site to serve as the main news feed to keep members up-to-date with the latest happenings in the petroleum + convenience world, and placed prominent calls-to-action throughout the site to prompt viewers to join. Special functionality was added to accommodate featured members, member testimonials, and events.
Once his site was designed, we optimized it to respond well to many different screen sizes, including standard tablets and smart phones.
